As I run a batch script many times the batch is interrupted because of corrupted file, or read only file, I would like to be able to send this file to a seperate file list to handle later possibly through a separate batch after accumalating the list and finishing the currently running batch script.

Hi bcastillo,

It is possible to add this feature for "corrupt" file handling.

However, Hurricane already has a built-in mechanism for "looking ahead" at the filelist and checking for "read-only" status.
You can change your setting in the Tools->Options->Prefs->"Warn (with options) when a file in the Queue is Read-Only, or does not exist."

Another thing to try, in the meantime, is using the Tools->Options->Prefs->"Use Recover" option when opening "foreign" drawings.
I often use this setting on files that are from abroad, and am not sure if they are in good shape. Often, I'll run a script with the "Use Recover", as a precursor to working on the files, with a "confirm setup" type of script, where I setup OSMOD, ORTHO, grid and snap to the settings I prefer working with. That way, the files are somewhat ready to be worked on. How many times I've received files from abroad (that are all part of the same package), that have different settings in each file. Yech!

As for the feature request, I can add a button, perhaps to the Right-click on Queue menu, that will 1) add the topmost file to a "!skipped-[username]-[date].lst" file, and 2) remove it from the Queue (in one step). The user will then have to press "Create and Run" to commence the batch process once again.

Please let me know if this is what you had in mind?

Regards,
Bill

Yes that sounds like what I would like to see, right click or button on the file name in the queue list, move and append it to a new [user.lst] then i could run that list at a later date or create an error report with a list of files. Also thank you for the tips on the read only files and the "use recover", that was very helpful.

Hi bcastillo,

Try this update out, and let me know what you think.

The feature is accessible under the "Right-click" menu on the Queue.
It will only function when ONE file is selected in the Queue.

All files preceeding the selected file will be removed. (but there is a warning message explaining this, so you can back out)

Let me know!

Best Regards,
Bill

I right clicked on a file in the queue, but i did not see an option to move to a new or existing file list in my shortcutmenu.

The item to click on is "Skip Selected File".

It will only be available when you have 1 file selected, however all files above it will be removed from the queue (a dialog box will inform you of this when you click on it).

Bill
