We are using ACAD 2002 with an in-house written software to batch plot. The software will only call a layout for plotting so if I do not have a half size plot layout I cannot plot half size. I would like to use Hurricane to revise a defined fullsize layout to plot half size by changing the papersize and scale lineweights. What is the best approach to do this?

Hi Paul,

Remembering that everything scripted must be able to be performed at the command line, I'd start with the "LAYOUT" command or "-LAYOUT" to Set or create a new layout.

Enter layout option [Copy/Delete/New/Template/Rename/SAveas/Set/?] <set>:

NOTE: You must either make sure each drawing already has a layout with the same name (so your script can function correctly on ALL drawings, or you must make a PRE run through your drawings to create a layout with a common name.

I'd experiment a little with the keyboard and see if you can manipulate your plot to the way you like using the "-PLOT" command once you are on the layout you want to use.

There is a summary of how to use the -PLOT command here:

I hope this helps you out... (I'm not sure if that's what you were asking?)

Regards,
Bill
