I've been looking for a time-saving tool like this for some time now.

It's like the many "filters" that Hurricane has built-in, except it works on your entire PC, basically narrows the list down as you type, and can "Locate on Disk", which is just like Hurricane's "Explorer" buttons.

You can see it in action without downloading anything if you try their search function on their forums:

Indeed x1 Search is a pretty nice tool to save time while looking for a specific file. As I am working with Microsoft Outlook I decided to use Lookeen an Outlook addin to search my emails and files on my drives. True it is not a real desktop search tool like x1 but it does the job and it does it pretty well. You can try it out on http://www.lookeen.com

Best Regards.

Rear: I work for the company which developed Lookeen.
