Just thought I'd put in a friendly reminder that AutoCAD has the CHANGE command. We often get tied up in using DDEDIT and
This can be very useful, especially because it has a pretty good command line functionality.
It allows you to CHANGE [Color/Elev/LAyer/LType/ltScale/LWeight/Thickness] of any entity. The trick is, how do you select the entity to be CHANGEd?
(I recommend the SSX.lsp routine http://www.74mph.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=82&SearchTerms=ssx which lets you select items based on some criteria to create a selection set) Then when you enter the CHANGE command, and are asked to "select objects" just respond with P for Previous selection set.
(also see CHPROP, very similar command)
Hopefully someone will get something out of this!
Please post any tips or tricks you might have, and we can all spend more time doing better things!
