Posted - July 27 2005 : 10:50:54 AM Some of our drawings have relative xref pathing, which means that we have to start autocad in a specific subdiretory in order for the xrefs to be found. There needs to be a way to change the directory that Hurricane "starts" Autocad in. (This is normally the default "C:Program FilesAutoCAD 2006". Right click on the desktop Acad icon to find the start directory.) Binding xref's with batch processing will not work unless we can do this. |

I have never tried this, but, this might work.
Go into your options (type config in AutoCAD), and edit your "Project Files Search Path", under the FILES tab. Include the path you want to search for XREFS. (Actually, it might be a different entry in there)
Test your XREFing with this setting.
If this works, then save the PROFILE (in the config/Profiles tab in AutoCAD), then use the command-line switches in Hurricane to specify the PROFILE you want to invoke each time AutoCAD is loaded.
Please let us know how it goes!
Regards, Bill |
