Hi, I have another feature request.
I've been using find and replace for a while and was wondering if it would be possible to change the find replace to add maybe a button for whole words only so that it would work like the autocad find replace.
We've been accidentally changing some stuff like this
example. i want to change 12dp to 14dp on a bunch of text but what happens is I want to change the 12 to 14 in the attributes to match the text I have not associated and I end up changing anything with a 12 in it anywhere. like the room number was 112 now its 114.

If its possible let me know we could definately use it

Hi Germanc,

I've updated your attachment so it can be downloaded.... renamed it to ZIP.

If anybody that reads this knows how to mess with the lisp so it could find whole words only that would be perfect. Just like the one that autocad has in a dialog box the find replace command.
When I ask to change 12 to 14 I only want 12 to change not 112 not 12dp not anything else that may happen to have a 12 in it. If anybody could help me out that would be awesome.

Here's a side bar. I have a lisp that someone made a little while ago that will select attributes by value but I haven't been able to figure out how to change something with it. It selects the attributes but if i select previous it selects all blocked attributes. If I could just select previous and have it select the right attributes I could pretty much do whatever I want. So let me know if thats possible. Here's the lisp

Hi Germanc,

Have you considered performing a search for "12dp" rather than "12"? Would this not work in your situation? Only then would 12dp be replaced, and 12 would be left alone.

As well, the actualy functionality of the "find and replace" function is actually a lisp routine that is called and executed by the Hurricane script.
(Look for ../Hurricane/LISP/REPTEXT.LSP) This can be edited by someone who knows what they are doing!, unfortunately, I'm no expert at lisp)

There might be someone in this forum that would know how to edit it to get the results you require.

I hope this helps!

Regards,
Bill
