Posted - December 31 2007 : 10:02:51 AM Hi BDub,
I have no idea what might have happened. Hurricane checks the setting in the system registry each time it starts, and if the bit is set, it comes up in "Simple Mode". If the bit is not set, it comes up normal.
Something obviously 'set' the bit. The only software I know of that will do that intentionally is the Admin Tool in the /KEYS/ directory (unless some other software manually tweaked your registry). The full key is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\HurricanePowerTool\Startup\simplemode
I would assume you were just checking-out in the admin tool one day, forgot that you checked the checkbox for your seat, then when you restarted Hurricane, it saw that the bit was enabled, and started up in Simple mode instead.

Posted - December 30 2007 : 8:26:10 PM Why did it do that, Bill? I had just run the purge batch and then a day or two later, when I was to plot a bunch of files, the simple mode was there. I did upgrade but only after "losing" the script file box.
Anyway thanks for the tip,
BDub

I believe you may be in "Simple Mode". Please run the "admin" tool in the KEYS directory and select your serial number, and UNCheck the "Simple mode" box at the bottom. Then restart Hurricane.
