Bill, thank you for your excellent software!! I had a major problem with drawings yesterday that eventually I was able to solve in minutes using your Hurricane software.

I had received a large number of electronic drawings from one of the steel detailers in our company (so that I could process the drawings for our CNC fabrication equipment). Some sort of glitch in the processing of the drawings resulted in the xdata (behind the scenes data) being corrupted. The actual graphics of the drawing were okay, but every drawing was created for the wrong project number and every drawing was created as drawing sheet 1, as far as the detailing software was concerned.

As a result, I was unable to pull out any of the CNC information from the drawings thru the detailing software. The detailing software's support people identified the drawing problem and provided me with a LSP file to use to correct the problem, the unseen xdata info.

The LSP file, however, required manually opening every drawing separately and answering a couple of prompts in order to accomplish it's task. I went in and made a couple of minor adjustments to the LSP file, so the LSP automatically pulled out the information that it had previously prompted for.

Next: a two line script in Hurricane, one to load the LSP and another to execute it. In one or two minutes Hurricane processed my entire directory of drawings and saved the shop many, many hours of additional work, had the CNC not been available to them.

Of course, I could have used the LSP manually, and corrected the problem. That would have meant hours of my time, tho, rather than minutes. Your software was a real life-saver in this situation. This usage alone, more than paid for the cost of the software, in my time-savings, alone, not to mention that it was at least indirectly part of the solution that made CNC available, which saved many, many more hours.

THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !!!

Hi Steve,

I've installed a feature on the website for users such as yourself who want to leave a comment or "testimonial".

http://www.74mph.com/testimonial/testimonial_add.php

Please feel free to add any more comments! I really appreciate any word-of-mouth! Without users like yourself, who are actively involved in Hurricane and supporting it's community, it wouldn't be what it is today!

Thanks again,
Bill
